Highland View Elementary School PTA

October 31, 2025 (during school hours)

This event takes place during the school day and is a fun time to celebrate the season. Classroom teachers in each grade organize specific activities. There are also games in the gym and other school-wide activities. The PTA helps teachers and faculty with the activities of the day.

December 10, 2025 (time TBD}

This community event is a festive time for children to “shop” for their parents and caregivers. Community members donate new or gently used items and the HVES students can select gifts for free and have them wrapped. There is food and warm drinks for the season. This is a PTA event.

An event for 3rd through 5th grade students to learn more about our world. This friendly “competition.” Students are provided packets, have study sessions, and work as part of a team to “compete” in the ultimate GeoBowl competition (by grade). (And it’s a great way for parents and caregivers to remember their geography, too!) This is a PTA event coordinated with the teachers and administrators.

The HVES faculty and staff are world class. This is an opportunity to share our appreciation and thanks for ALL that they do for the students through the year. The PTA coordinates breakfast items and sets up a lovely spread for teachers and staff to enjoy before (and during!) the day.

This is a long time HVES tradition to celebrate the diversity and cultures of our community. There is food, entertainment, cultural tables, and more. Families and community friends bring food from their culture (or a special dish!) to share, there is musical or artistic entertainment, and families host tables to share more about a country that is important to them. This is a PTA event.

May/June (dates TBD)

This is a major HVES fundraiser that helps sustain activities for the next school year. Local businesses donate items (gift certificates, goods, services) and the PTA hosts the auction to fundraise. The PTA liaises with local businesses to solicit donations and to host the auction.

Think games, bounce houses, pizza, popcorn, and so much fun! A fun tradition each spring, this is one of the final events of the year as families and community members can come play games, eat pizza, participate in the cake raffle, and so much more! This is a PTA event.
